The Northwest TerrAquarium will provide public programming for people of all ages. School systems throughout our area will assist in designing and presenting programs targeted for specific grades in such areas as environmental science, oceanography, marine biology, and more.
The facility will include a 300-seat auditorium used daily to present live interpretive programs. At least two hands-on discovery labs for the public will be geared for all age groups and all levels of physical abilities. It will include video projectors, microscopes, live animals, models of all types of land and see creatures, and artifacts. Recorded programs will be presented along with live video from deep in local waters or atop Mount Baker.
